How to Fix a Stuck N64 Power or Reset Button

Ever wonder how to fix your stuck reset or power button, for your Original N64 System?

Fortunately, the Nintendo Repair Shop makes this fix on your N64 system a breeze.

First you will need a 4.5 mm bit (+/- bit handle) to open your system. There are 6 bits that will need to be removed. Gently open the console. Please note you will need to remove the jumper pak and/or memory expansion pak very gently prior to separating the lower and upper case.

Remove the power or reset button on the upper case by pinching the 2 tabs on either side of the button. Gently pushing the button out. Thoroughly cleanse the buttons and around where the button was on the case; Alcohol can be used. Gently place the clean button back into the system by pinching on the tabs as they are inserted. Close up your system and enjoy!

Just a reminder if your games have been sitting in storage or you bought them used, you may want to clean them using out Nintendo N64 Game Cleaning Kit before playing them.
